Katie and Steve celebrated their marriage at Blissful Meadows in Uxbridge MA yesterday, and the day co-operated with bright sunny weather. Ok, is was really hot with a sun that wouldn’t quit. A pleasant change from recent meteorological occurrences![]()

Started the day in Pomfret, CT with Katie and her girls getting dressed and last minute makeup touchups and some quick family formals. We then found our way –without the incorrect Google and Tom-Tom directions to Blissful Meadows. A beautiful venue, and well worth the trip into the Douglas forests. Spectacular really.
We worked with Steve and his guys-I showed them how their front line should look, and that was worth a picture in itself, but it won’t be happening here. The guys didn’t need any further instructions, and though the toss was perfect, the wide receiver wasn’t really in position, and the touchdown was not to be had. I don’t think the Pats have too much to worry about![]()

Their ceremony by the gazebo was touching and at times very funny, whether intentional or not. I love the new tradition of blending sands and families, and Katie’s Mom did a great job describing the thought behind the blending.

What is she thinking about?

Blending of families, represented by sands

After the ceremony we had family time–in the blazing heat, and our thanks to everyone who not only did not complain, but enjoyed a few minutes with Katie and Steve. We went to a shadier spot with the bridal party for a few ‘fun’ shots, and a few minutes of quiet time with just Katie and Steve.

The reception hall was beautiful decorated with favors and cards made by Katie; centerpieces and flowers by Lillium Too were spectacular Gerber daisies, lilies and roses. Alfred Travieso- Sound Force Unlimited- kept the floor packed with soft dinner music and later MJ, latin, and rock for everyone, including Steve’s grandma. Al is a professional and pleasure to work with. A special shout out to Melissa, the coordinator at Blissful Meadows, who was everywhere making sure things ran smoothly. A true team player, she made sure the vendors knew what was going on, and made sure we were comfortable. THANK YOU for making our job a little easier.

And a special thanks to Katie and Steve for asking us to spend the day with you; we are truly honored. All blessings for a long and happy life together.
