Jessi and Andy are married!
On a gloriously bright September day, filled with love and laughter and more laughter and love, the day was perfect.
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a more relaxed bride and groom.
And now, a complete family.
I’m a really big fan of the first look, the reveal or whatever you want to call it. Jessi and Andy did it right: fun, (sometimes) alone and a lot of laughs.
Look at the bridesmaids who couldn’t help themselves.
And some family time with their adorably ‘shy’ 2 year old. He is just about the cutest little boy I’ve ever seen. Didn’t want anything to do with the camera and didn’t want to let go of Daddy or Mommy or Nanny. Until it came time for the party.
I’ve been trying to think how long I’ve known Jessi. My oldest daughter and she met in middle school so it has to be 20 years easily. I couldn’t help but flash back all to the kids playing dress up and playing grown up. I’m thinking her Mom had similar thoughts and similar throat catches.
I just love this moment. Jessi, eager; Jude managing to hold onto her daughter and grandson and Dad, protective.
The incomparable Marie Tyler Wiley performed the ceremony and made it personable, serious and full of life. She’s good.
Stunning venue for an outdoor wedding.
The Wedding Party. Attentive, full of fun and supportive. They were up for anything and everything. Sisters and Brothers by birth or nurture. Friends by choice.
Details. Morin Caterers . The food was superb, the waitstaff attentive. And they set a table that my (very proper) grandmother would have been proud to call her own.
Wine corks made into table numbers.
A unique view from the catwalk.
It always gives me a thrill to see engagement pictures featured!
Chalk board for a guest book. Brilliant and made by their own hand.
Sometimes I’ll just walk into a moment. This is one of them, practicing for the intros.
Just before the introductions on the cat walk.
And these 2. Taking a break from running the dance floor. Too cute!
The Parent Dances always always move me. Never more than today.
Top Gun, one of my all time favorites. Every guest joined in.
. Dancing all night thanks to EOE. Again, old friends. Hard, tile floor; wild and crazy dancing. Don’t look at the flash. And I can’t walk for 2 days afterwards. Priceless.
At the end of the night, Cake. Cupcakes. The biggest cupcakes you’ll ever see. And the best you’ll ever taste. Nora Cupcake Truck
Those moments when you are surrounded by the people you most love and who most love you, but you are alone. Those moments are my favorite of the day.
Thank you Jessi and Andy.
There is never more pressure than when ‘working’ with friends. Not with you guys. I think your first words were ‘we want you to do our wedding’ and the second words were ‘we want you to have fun’ Those 2 sentences are usually mutually exclusive. Not with you guys.
Thank you for the years of friendship, for having Morgan as a sister for so many years.
You are blessed with a beautiful family and it is my honor to watch you flourish.
Thank you. xoxxo always.
