There was NOTHING ordinary for Kathy and Jeff’s fall wedding day at the Mansion at Bald Hill and Golden Lamb Buttery.
Jeff started his day — SURPRISE!! –at the Danielson Airport at Gaudette Aviation when he and his son went on a flying expedition to nearby Quaddick State Park to see the family home via air.
I was fortunate enough to take a spin a couple weeks earlier to get some pictures of the area, too.
The Golden Lamb Buttery. Magnificent by land or by Air.
Kathy started her day by getting ready at the elegant Mansion at Bald Hill. The bride’s room there is perfect.
We had some formals done inside, waiting for the guests to be chauffeured to the Golden Lamb, and Kathy had 1 request. Recreate an image she was in ‘a few years ago’
So, we did one with her flower girl, and another with her niece at the Golden Lamb.
And then it was time for her surprise. Kathy is an attending physician at Harrington Hospital and Urgent Care Express. The EMS crews are devoted to her and when asked if they’d bring her to the ceremony they were honored. How it was done was a surprise to her: she was transported in an EMS vehicle with sirens and lights blaring, escorted and passed to her brother by the honor guard.
Jeff had a couple requests: keep the ceremony short, no socks and no ties. Done and Done. They added a pinky swear to their vows. THAT’S an unbreakable promise. Forever and ever.
Guest were entertained via custom made frisbee, haywagon rides with songs, DJs JL sound and
…. hot air balloon ascents! Magnificent. And I only panicked for about 5 minutes.
The Reception was LIVELY! Starting with the girls doing a custom rap, the incomparable band Rewind that kept the music and dancing busting until closing. Seriously go see them, they play all over the area. You won’t be disappointed.
All the details reflected Falling in Love. That Cake!
I could only get Jeff to smile for me twice. I shudder to think of what I had to do to make it so.
How wonderful to find love the second time around. You guys are so warm and caring. The 100 friends and family would have done ANYTHING for you. That was the theme.
Thank you, thank you.
