Katie and Matt
Bridal Preparations, the girls had set up everything!
Katie’s Mom approved of her dress, as seen through the edge of the door and jamb.
Katie: Vision in White
Matt: A Man in a Grey (Flannel, um no!) Suit
Why A Daughter Needs a Dad
(I will never believe otherwise, this has got to be the hardest job a Dad has, and it chokes me up everytime.)
And the Ceremony begins.
Katie and Matt’s creativity in planning their wedding made us look deeper into our image making.
Young Hearts Crying,
before they said we did it!
“After all this time?” “Always” J.K. Rowling
Everything was completely thought out and coordinated. I can’t even imagine the work that went into this day.
Today was ALL about the words. Poignant, individual words that touch each person. Books and Books. And more Books.
OMG! The Cinnamon Bun Cake by Soleil and Suns Bakery
Floral Arrangements by Bloom on Woodstock Hill
FABULOUS Bouquets and Boutonnieres (Folded Book Art!) by Novel Expression
“And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it LOVE.” Dr. Seuss
Look down, then look up!
We took advantage of the rolling hills and ponds and forests the Connecticut National Golf Club has to offer for Katie and Matt’s walk (or drive) around time.
“But we loved with a love that was more than love” Edgar Allan Poe
“I wish you to know you have been the last dream of my soul” Charles Dickens
“Once upon a time there was a boy who loved a girl and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole lifetime answering.” Nicole Krauss
Let’s go over to The Very Tall Tree!
“As soon as I saw you I knew a grand adventure was about to happen.” A.A. Milne
Katie. Matt! You guys are meant for each other. Katie, your ‘kids’ are so fortunate to have you walk them into adulthood. A GOOD, KIND high school teacher is beyond value. Matt, your humor, earnestness, and being an all around good guy has made this journey a pleasure! We’ve come a long way since your Senior pictures over Labor Day! (Why do I remember it being Labor Day? The Woodstock fair was going on and it took me 3 hours to get home, LOL!)
Thank you both so much for your enthusiasm, your attention to detail!, and for letting us share your day with you!
Norm, thanks again (and again and again) for being my right hand, left brain, and for using your very creative right brain as a bonus.
