Spring Time Weddings in the country.
Is there anything more romantic?

The setting: The Inn at Woodstock Hill in beautiful rural northeast Connecticut.
Beautiful bedrooms at the Inn were used for the girls last minute preps, and the guys were at the Cottage on the same property.

a wrought iron 4 poster bed to hang the dress. Yes please!

Aren’t these hangers clever! Alysha hand painted each bride maid’s name for a wonderful gift.

No stress for the guys.

One of the things I like best about the Inn is that there are SO many nooks and crannies to explore and use for off beat photographs! One groomsman did Napoleon and it was all over at that point.

Alysha and Justin decided to do a first look which saved so much time after the ceremony, especially since there was a receiving line.
There are just so many spots to use as a background here, but a real concern for me was the 91 degree heat. Wedding dresses are heavy! So we found a little copse right off the driveway, in front of a pumpkin patch and stone fence. What made it perfect was the white birch that was prominent in the all the decorations including the cake.

By doing the first look ahead of the ceremony we were able to get the more formal bridal party images done also, and allowed us some play time after the ceremony.
Sometimes the kids steal the show. Sometimes the Groom does. Sometimes they both do.

First Kiss. And not a moment before the wind took Alysha’s veil signifying the party was to begin.

Lara and her staff are outstanding! Right after the ceremony they gathered everyone to the patio for a group shot from the 2nd floor. (I’m not going to tell anyone how much I look forward to hanging out windows. With a lens cap that doesn’t stay on)

Details of the day. Well thought out and perfectly executed.

Remember the white birch? Look at the cake, the cake stand (custom designed at the Inn) and the decoration hand painted by Alysha.

A sweets table. Never know what you’ll find in the kisses.

Or what you’ll find under the dress.

Guests use special ink to fingerprint themselves as ‘leafs’ on a tree. Wonder why I like that idea so much.

Not sure why, but every single wedding I do here has to have this pose where the girls pick up and hold the groom.

First dance and parent dances. Some very touching moments of the day.
My favorite moments captured at a wedding are those ‘unasked for’ Where no one is aware of me. Alysha and Justin are all by themselves in a crowded room.

One thing I like to ask is that if the groom will be ‘dipping’ his bride. Justin: ‘I am a great dipper’. He’s right.

Alysha’s Dad gave a wonderful toast and their dance was touching.

And Justin’s Mom was ripping up the floor!

What Justin was helping Alysha with in the opening photo?
An Infinity Necklace. Which he gave her for the wedding.

And a quiet moment at the end of the night.

Thank you! For sharing your day, your friends and family.
I am honored to know you.
LEAVE ALYSHA AND JUSTIN SOME LOVE IN THE COMMENTS!!
