Lisa and Brianne celebrated their ‘legal marriage done in Massachusetts with a wonderful civil ceremony in Connecticut at the Stonington Yacht Club. Connecticut is still in the throws of battle about legalizing a gay marriage, so they decided to re-commit to each other with a civil ceremony –what a fabulous idea -
Ssurrounded by the warmth of friends and family in the bitter cold that only the coast of Connecticut in January can deliver. A silent ceremony, people were asked to speak of their affection for Brianne and Lisa and it was moving in the words and silence.
Both girls beautiful! and a little shy in front of the camera but we were able to get great pictures on the walk across neighbor lawns along the Long Island Sound. So wonderful to see bright red roses in mid winter;
the buffet was handled with flair and panache; and I love people with a sense of humor.
Grandma with her olives plunked from her martinis made sure I got this image for her friends!
