An almost impossible task : Favorites from the past year!
So many poignant moments. So many wonderful stories. So blessed to work with the best clients, each has welcomed me as family, so that’s what each event and session has become for me–documenting extended family. And I don’t know where to start.
Wedding Favorites
The Bride (and groom) getting ready are some of my favorite moments of the whole day. Don’t know if it’s because of the the adrenaline, the anticipation, the family’s emotions. It’s a great time to highlight the dress, shoes, jewelry.

The weddings this year ranged from very intimate affairs with just immediate family to full weekend events. So many weddings this year had a ‘first look”-the bride and groom seeing each other in a relatively private area before the ceremony. It may be a little nontraditional, but what else is new? If you are a bride thinking about it — do it! There are about 50 reasons why you should.

The ceremony venues ranged from the magnificence of a cathedral to nature’s own magnificence and everything in between. But they were nothing without 2 people in love.

It really helps to have a fun bunch of attendants. With the most formal of formals to those who’d just as soon kick it up, I think working with the bridal party is just so much fun.

We had a couple of cheerleaders this year — didn’t take long for these wedding parties to jump and jump and jump.

I love spontaneous cracking up.

Then the walk around, private time. I know I’ve said each of the above is my favorite part of the day, but this really is. It can be part of a first look, or a break between the ceremony and reception.

And the details of the day. Handmade, hand me downs or new for the day. Spectacular.

The random shots throughout the day, they may or may not make the album but just made me smile or laugh even now.

My real favorites? Haven’t even been posted or proofed. They are of my son and new daughter. And I didn’t even take the best ones. But these are a couple of my absolute favorites when I couldn’t put the camera down.

Here it is. My most favorite image ever made. My Mom and Dad. Who will be celebrating their 60 year anniversary next September.

Thank you to all my clients, your families and friends. For your trust, your enthusiasm, and finally a new friendship. I will never forget a minute.
Thank you again to Pete and Norm who assisted me individually or as The Team. Your help, good nature and the ability to sing (albeit off key) in the car on a long drive home so that I can relax and get ready for 3-4 additional hour to make sure everything is backed up is indescribable.
