Amy and Donald – Wedding Reception at the Raceway Restaurant and Golf Club — Thompson, CT

Amy and Donald were married in December in the islands, and celebrated with friends and family at home in Thompson.

And what a celebration it was!

They transformed the Raceway Golf Club by bringing in 8 white birches, hanging them from rafter to floor, and with silver and white colors made the winter sparkle.

With 300 guests, standing tables as well as table and chairs allowed people to mill and mix.

Buffet as well as passed hors d’oeuvres were spectacular – these were the biggest shrimp (is that an oxymoron??) I’ve ever seen. And delicious.

I was just messing around with a little camera shake — the dance floor was busy all night.

Lighting and Music by Revelation Productions. Anthony was great playing requested music and did fabulous work with the subtle uplighting.

Amy makes a  most beautiful bride.

And what celebration would be complete with out the pink Ape???

or some family time in the PhotoBooth??

Thank you so much for asking us to document your celebrations.

We wish you a lifetime of happiness.

CT Wedding Photography — Julie and Dan, New Year’s Eve Wedding, Thompson CT

Julie and Dan were married on New Year’s Eve, 2010, at the newly renovated, and beautiful  Knights of Columbus in North Grosvenordale.

I met Julie when I moved into the new studio,  right above Desired Weddings where Julie works as a bridal consultant.  It was so interesting to hear first hand the day to day decisions she and Dan were making about the wedding and I was thrilled and honored to be asked to document her day. “Nothing Traditional”. Ok. “PhotoBooth” OK! and she was right on about her friends getting into it!

Julie had picked out a Maggie Sottero dress that was stunning. Glimpes of Gaia always does breathtaking work on their floral artistry but they really pulled out the stops on the arrangements. I couldn’t stop looking at them. Sandy from Desired Weddings was the officiant and personalized the wedding like only a friend could do.

Julie and Dan’s bridal party was the keystone to getting the party going — all night dancing with great DJ services by Mush; the post wedding party didn’t seem to be letting up when Pete and I left well after midnight.

The PhotoBooth was jammed all night long! I had a hard time going thru to pick out my favorites,  Moms and Dads and Grandparents were frequent visitors. What a blast!

Thank you to Lori and her crew at the KOC — so incredibly beautifully decorated, professional staff, great food.

Thank you to Norman and Carol for raising such a fine young man,

Thank you to Peter and Linda — who knew we’d meet again after Kim and Todd’s wedding, where one of my favorite all time pictures was made, of Peter in his dress socks and shoes and shorts!

and special love to Julie and Dan. You guys blow me away.

Julie and Dan’s photographs will be available to be previewed in about 2 weeks; their engagement images are up here and the password is   temp .  If you register I’ll be happy to send you an email when the wedding pictures are ready.

The Wedding of Jeannie and Scott – Woodstock and Thompson CT

Jeannie and Scott are ‘Falling in Love’ and could not have picked a better day!

Is there no better time and place to be married than the Fall in New England…..I don’t think so.

How talented Jeannie is — she made her own gown!

I was laughing about this all day — who needs a ring pillow when a jack 0 lantern is perfect for the task.

And who needs flower baskets – or for that matter flowers — when beautiful leaves will line the way for Jeannie…

There is one in every bunch — and Colby is my new best friend!

This is obviously a large crop — but these ‘staches are just awesomeness! Left or right — we need votes!
