Liz and Shane -- Wedding at CT National Golf Club, Putnam CT

April 28, 2017

One of the things I like to ask couples when we meet to talk about their wedding is to describe themselves. Liz didn't hesitate: "Quirky".

Then, they told me they met at Eastern CT State Universality. And they were involved in theatre, drama and music. I was hooked.

We started in the bridal suite at the golf club with the ladies relaxed and attentive. It was cloudy and drizzly/misty outside but that didn't dampen anyone's spirits. It was all family time: 4 generations, including a week old baby!

The window light, muted with the grey overcast sky, was the perfect area to do makeup

And the perfect place to hang the light beige dress, with real tiny tiny buttons.

Liz makes a beautiful bride.

Wonderful ECO FLOWERS! How appropriate for Earth Day!

Shane's jewelry included a band with the golf club latitude and longitude, and a bracelet made with fishing leads, given to him by his men.

Liz gave her ladies matching bracelets.

Liz's ring is a family heirloom.

And the Moms are 'The BEST!"

The mist let up just long enough, the grass was soft deep green and spring was popping up all over.

Such a beautiful wedding party! The pale blue bridesmaid's dresses complimented each of the girls and were so soft and feminine.

I have to say that I've never seen a bride and groom enjoy each other's company so much! The laughter - all day and night - was deep and real. Can't think of a better way to start a marriage.

Never amazes me what I'll do for my couples. I'm a little queasy thinking about heights. But I hung out the 2nd floor window for the big group shot. :)

After the big family formals some play time with the kids.

Not sure they would have given me a straight face even if I asked.

That attitude extended to our couples session.

All I know is that I can't wait to see them both in a real performance. They were 'on' all day.

Shane and his brothers: "I wanna grow old with you" Awesome!

Shane and Liz's nephew was SO good all day and LONG into the night. He was kept amused for a few minutes with my flash attachments. :O)

It took a few tries for the bouquet and garter to hit the mark. No one cared. Hilarity ensued.

I'm so glad I didn't have to say RELAX once.

NOT ONCE in about 9 hours.

We cleared the bar area for about 5 minutes right at the end of the night. Might have been the hardest thing all day...

Thank you thank you for making my day so enjoyable.

Dare I say it: Break a Leg! I'll be sitting in the audience at one of your performances, soon.
